I used to walk around Melbourne for hours on end, observing the light and passers by with or without the camera. It seems like in those days it was much easier to be so close to people on the streets yet invisible enough not to bother them.
These days although more and more people sharing photos of themselves on social media yet they are equally concious of being photographed by others. Below images are some of my favorites…

This was shot on Swanston St with the morning light. She looked so calm and content I couldn’t resist it. Although she knew I was photographing her, she didn’t alter her expression a bit.

This was shot on the tram on St Kilda Rd. I think Bilgin and I were heading to St Kilda Festival… A beautiful woman especially with the light coming through, she looked delightful…On the tram, I tried not to make it so obvious but I’m pretty sure she was aware by my fascination in her beauty…

Probably most of you will recognise this beautiful door. It was just a bonus to have her standing there in the afternoon light…

Dream Series_2

On Victoria St right next to the Victoria Market. It was the light that fascinated me but then he came along and all was complete.

Street photography can be almost meditational…
